Through the partnership, both companies will first be able to offer a wide variety of accommodation options to trivago users in Japan, providing a service addressing the wide spectrum of demand for lodgings. In the future, they also intend to promote the service to travelers visiting Japan from all around the world.
“As trivago we are proud to be the first metasearch to offer Rakuten LIFULL STAY vacation rentals to our users,” said Johannes Thomas, Managing Director & Chief Revenue Officer of trivago. “With this we are expanding the choice for our users and help them to find their ideal place to stay. More and more travellers are considering vacation rentals as an option to travel. Our global reach will allow Rakuten LIFULL STAY to target those travellers effectively. Vacation rental owners will increase their reach within Japan as well as internationally and will benefit from a growing demand in this accommodation segment.”
