Scope of Personal Information
In this Policy, the term “Personal Information” refers to the following information directly or indirectly acquired by the Company during the course of our personnel recruitment activities based on which Job Applicants can be identified, regardless of the medium by which it is obtained:
- (1) Information provided on resumes, Curricula Vitae or other application forms (e.g., name, age, gender, date of birth, telephone number, email address)
- (2) Communications between the Company and Job Applicants for recruitment purposes
- (3) Information that can be easily cross-checked with other pieces of information to identify a particular Job Applicant
Purposes of Use
The Company uses Personal Information concerning Job Applicants to provide job information, carry out applicant screenings, confirm the identification of individuals and review application history records. For Job Applicants who have been accepted and are employed by the Company, the Company will also use Personal Information to notify them of what steps they must take to begin working for the Company and to manage employment issues.
Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company may provide Personal Information to third parties only in the following cases:
- (1) The Company has obtained the Job Applicant’s consent to provide their Personal Information to third parties;
- (2) Such provision is required by laws or regulations; or
- (3) The handling of Personal Information is outsourced in whole or in part.
Outsourcing to Third Parties
The Company may outsource the handling of Personal Information in whole or in part to a third-party contractor. If so, the Company will remain fully responsible for ensuring appropriate management of Personal Information by the third-party contractor.
Security Control Measures
The Company takes appropriate security control measures to safeguard Personal Information concerning Job Applicants against unauthorized access, loss, unauthorized alteration and leakage.
Disclosure, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
At the request of a Job Applicant, the Company will disclose, correct or delete their Personal Information in the Company’s possession to a reasonable extent. Please note that the Company is unable to answer inquiries concerning information related to its recruitment and screening processes since such disclosure would have material adverse effects on the appropriate conduct of business. The Company will destroy or delete Personal Information concerning rejected Job Applicants by appropriate methods after a certain period of retention.
